Sad Video: Herman Cain Suspends Presidential Campaign

Share

Herman Cain is suspending his campaign for president, he announced Saturday. “We had to come to this conclusion that it would be best to suspend this campaign,” Cain told a crowd in Georgia. Cain, joined by his wife Gloria, said he is at peace with God, at peace with his wife, at peace with his family and at peace with himself. “I know that many of you are disappointed,” he continued. “I understand that…I am disappointed that it came to this point, that we had to make this decision.” Cain said he will endorse of another Republican candidate “in the near future,” though did not provide an indication for who it would be. He also said he will not simply vanish from the national spotlight, and will continue to be a voice for the people, announcing the launch of a new website to be called cainsolutions.com “The pundits would like for me to shut up, drop out, and go away,” he said. “I am not going to be silenced and I am not going away!” Cain said he wanted to leave the crowd with one final message, joking “I believe these words came from the Pokemon movie, the media pointed that out.” “Life can be a challenge. Life can seem impossible. It‘s never easy when there’s so much on the line. But you and I can make a difference. There’s a mission just for you and me, just look inside and you will find just what you can do,” Cain said. “I’ve had to look inside to find what I can do. And here’s what I can do, here’s what we can do: We can put ‘united’ back into the United States of America and move this shining city on a hill back to the top of the hilltop where it belongs!”

Herman Cain is a sell-out; Endorses a weak Wilsonian liberal over a strong Reagan conservative

Obviously, I’ve been one of Mr. Cain’s biggest advocates and fans. Herman Cain, after first claiming to “endorse the people” as to not alienate his supporters, has now officially endorsed Newt Gingrich for president. Looks like he’s decided to alienate his supporters after all. To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement. I guess that …

My Unconventional Endorsement – By Herman Cain

WND: I have been hounded in media interviews to give them the scoop on which Republican presidential candidate I’m going to endorse. When I respond that it will be “unconventional,” they go nuts because they cannot conceive of what that means. That’s not the way they think. So they try to guess what it means …

Benamon: “Santorum is the only other choice than Cain”

Renew America: By Felicia Benamon For some time in 2011, polls showing GOP presidential candidates have been topsy turvy, with “little-known” or unlikely candidates taking the lead at some point. Herman Cain was such a man who briefly enjoyed the spotlight at the top of the polls for the GOP nomination before he was railroaded …

New Year, New Commitment to 9-9-9 | By Herman Cain

WND: I am not making this up. Our fourth grandchild arrived today! Mother, baby boy and dad are all doing fine. This blessed arrival is another reminder that no matter how bad we may see things at times, the miracle of life is still God’s most precious gift to us, along with His Son Jesus …

The mugging of a presidential candidate

Renew America: The Herman Cain campaign for president was unconventional by every expression of the word. It is unusual for a person with no electoral experience to be taken so seriously as a candidate for the office in the first place. Furthermore, it is virtually unheard of for a black to run to the right …

Herman Cain: a final word

Renew America: By Lloyd Marcus I would not blame Herman Cain if he said, Lloyd, I know you mean well brother. However, the relentless vitriolic media attacks against me have finally subsided since I dropped out of the presidential race. My family and I are finally having some peace. So, why on earth would you bring …

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! And Happy New Year! – By Herman Cain

WND: I said it. So send the politically correct police after me. Even though most people are not offended by these opening salutations, we hear many stories about an element of our society that appears to be trying to take Christ out of Christmas, happy out of Hanukkah and New Year. Some public schools have …

Brokenhearted, but not broken – By Herman Cain

Herman Cain: You’re not defeated as long as you never stop fighting. And while my presidential campaign is suspended, it’s important to remember that my pursuit of the presidency was only a means to an end. As long as the end is achieved, victory will be at hand. My incredible army of supporters, whom I …

Herman Goldwater

WND: True positive change suffered a setback from which we may not recover. Herman Cain offered real substantive change, not the canned, vacuous, hollow campaign promises typified by politicians. But to understand what happened, we must go back and look at what has happened before. This isn’t the first time a true champion of the …

Cain’s impact

The Washington Times: It was always a long shot to think a businessman could compete head on against career politicians for the highest office in the land. On Monday, Herman Cain told his staff and supporters he was proud of reaching fourth place in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. Though his operation is winding down, Mr. …
